Hi again!
As some of you pointed out, a logo obeys certain design rules - and it
does so for a reason. A good "figure" is not a good logo by
definition. After writing my "logo opinion" as a reply to Akirad, I
thought it would be a good idea to post a good logo / bad logo thread,
so that we could "wipe our minds" out of stuff that it just doesn't
cut it - as good and pretty it may be.
Please reply sending your "good logo/ bad logo tables".
Here it goes...
::: Good Logos:
Leica: simple, elegant, recognizable, associeted with a color, yet
printable in BW.

DELL: The tilted E does it all. Works in so many contexts!!!

EPSON: not even a pencil scratch... is just about the lettering... and
yet it works like hell!

The amount of good "only letters" logos on the market is huge: SONY,
Johnson & Johnson, Barklays Bank, etc...
But lets go to "I like to draw stuff" logos...
Blender: great logo, great lettering, great splash screen.

Shell

Ubuntu: as good as it gets!

::: Bad Logos:
Gimp: too complex to be a good logo!

Linux: don't get me wrong: i love that penguin, but its not a logo!

Nero is changing it's looks, but the first logos were awfull!

Filezilla: it's simple, as it should be, but besides that it's just plain ugly.

Kino: what on earth were they thinking???
